You're posting consistently. You're engaging with your audience. You're jumping on Reel trends... But you're STILL not growing your audience. I hear ya, it's frustrating as hell. 

You think it’s because your branding isn’t pretty enough, or your hashtags aren’t working for you or you’re not using the right trending audios… But it's not!

There are 5 common mistakes that may be stopping you from growing your audience. Get your popcorn and let's dive in.

1️⃣ You don't analyse your content.
You Instagram insights are insanely valuable when it comes to growing your audience because you can identify what content resonates the most with your audience. This means you can create more of the content that actually gets you results, or work on making it EVEN better.

Pro tip - Repurpose your best performing content instead of trying to come up with new ideas all the time. Your entire audience won't see all of your content, and if you're growing consistently you're going to have new audience members to show your content to.

You can either repost your best content, or re-create it with a different design. Or you can change the type of content you create. For example, if you had a Carousel that went down really well, you could turn this into a Reel and vice versa. This is going to save you a lot of time and hassle always trying to come up with new ideas. Stick to what gets results.

2️⃣ You don't experiment.
If you're not seeing results from your content but you're always posting the same things, it's time to change things up. Get creative and experiment with your content, if you a try a bunch of new things this is really going to help you discover the content that your ideal clients or customers enjoy the most. This is your permission slip to be unique, different and express your voice.

3️⃣ You're not consistent.
To really build the momentum in your business, you need to be consistent. If you consistently show up for your audience, they're going to start remembering you. This means when they need what you offer, you're going to be at the forefront of their mind!

4️⃣ You lack shareable content.

Contrary to popular beliefs, Reels aren't the only way to grow your audience. The best way to grow your audience without jumping on a Reel trend that makes you cringe and flops anyway, is by creating shareable content.

Creating shareable content should be relatively easy if you know your ideal client or customer well enough. Most of the content that gets shared is either funny, relatable or inspirational. Think of your own behaviour when it comes to sharing content on your own stories.

5️⃣You're not clear on who you're targeting. 
Which leads me onto my next point, you're unclear on who your ideal client is, meaning your content isn't specific enough to attract the right audience.

You should know EVERYTHING about your ideal client, not just how old they are or what gender they are. Get into their minds and think what makes them happy, what pisses them off, what problems they have and what their lifestyle is like. Knowing who your ideal client is won't only make your content creation easier, but it'll make selling to them a lot easier too.
